Welcome to Belle's Books. By accessing our website or placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read these terms carefully before making a purchase.

Products and Book Condition

Belle's Books primarily sells secondhand books, as well as selected new books where indicated. Secondhand books may show signs of previous use, age, shelf wear, markings, or other imperfections consistent with their condition.

We make every reasonable effort to accurately describe and represent the condition of our books. Please review the product information carefully before purchasing. If you require additional information regarding the condition of a particular book, please contact us before placing your order.

Orders and Availability

All orders are subject to availability.

As some of our books may also be available through other sales channels, it is possible, although uncommon, for a book to be sold before our online inventory has been updated.

If a book you have ordered is no longer available, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. You will have the option to:

• Receive a refund for the amount paid for the unavailable book; or
• Select another available book of equal value.

If you choose a replacement of a higher value, the difference will need to be paid before the replacement is supplied.

Pricing and Payment

All prices displayed on our website are shown in South African Rand (ZAR), unless otherwise stated.

Payment must be successfully completed using one of the payment methods available at checkout before an order can be processed, unless otherwise agreed.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing, product information, or listing errors. If an error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you before proceeding with the affected item.

Order Processing

Our normal order processing time is 2–4 working days before an order is booked with the courier or made ready for collection.

During particularly busy periods or when we are away working on projects, processing may occasionally take longer. If your order is affected by an additional delay, we will contact you and keep you updated.

Delivery and Collection

Available courier and collection options, together with the applicable costs, are displayed at checkout.

Once an order has been handed over to the courier, delivery times and transit are subject to the courier's service. Belle's Books cannot be held responsible for delays or other issues caused by the courier or circumstances outside of our reasonable control.

Returns and Refunds

Due to the secondhand nature of many of our books, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, books ordered incorrectly, or signs of wear that are consistent with the book's advertised condition.

This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable South African consumer law.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information provided when placing an order is complete and accurate, including your contact details and delivery address.

Belle's Books cannot be held responsible for delays or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

Website Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information, descriptions, prices, and images displayed on our website are accurate. However, minor differences may occur, particularly with secondhand products.

We reserve the right to correct errors or update information where necessary.

Privacy

Personal information provided through our website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable South African law.

Belle's Books may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The latest version published on our website will apply to purchases made after the updated terms become effective.
