Marcus Star Mouse - Marianna Brandt

A humerous tale about the adventures of three critters: Marcus Greymouse, Victori Cheesetti and Yuri Mousnikov en route, on a Soyuz spacecraft, to the International Space Station. They were literally following in the footsteps of the South African, Italian and Russian astronauts. But first the three mouse friends had to undergo a few very strenuous tests and face a lot of dangerous situations in Kazakstan – from Star City to Baikonur.

Later, at the International Space Station, they meet Froggel, Pommeline and Bephu, who were mascots for the three human astronauts and who came alive when the spacerocket left the earth's atmosphere. While the astronauts were busy performing tests and experiments – and unbeknown to them – Marcus, Victori and Yuri, together with their toy friends, were having the experience of their life...The facts in the story were meticulously researched and contribute hugely to the magical quality of the title.
